DR. FLORDELIZA M. BUHAY is a Clinical Psychologist from the Ateneo de Davao University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Arts in English degrees. She is a certified International Montessori Teacher for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old of the Montessori Institute of America (MIA) Washington, USA and had been an International Teacher Trainer of the Montessori Teacher Preparation of the US in the Philippines.
She hails from Cagayan de Oro City and is married to Mr. Nestor L. Buhay of Kidapawan City. They are blessed with three children: Mikhail Ness, a medical doctor; Kamille Liza, a registered nurse and a second year law student; and Lemuel Ness, an architect. At present, she serves as Psychotherapist of Life Care Psychological Assessment & Consultancy Center in Kidapawan City; consultant of Women Ecological Sanctuary (WES) in Kidapawan City; and Municipal Psychologist of Surallah, South Cotabato.
She had also served the Children-in-Conflict with the Law at the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) Region XII in Tupi, South, Cotabato where she employed Positive Psychology as psycho-therapeutic intervention.
Evelyn Malinis Malabunga-Bumatay has been a teacher since she was 19. She has made it her personal mission to make a difference in the lives of young boys and girls, to mentor brothers and sisters in the teaching profession. Her simple joys include seeing students marvel at Science and how it affects their lives, hearing them communicate fluently in oral and written media in her English and Speech classes.
With a Master’s Degree in Education, major in Educational Leadership, from the De La Salle University, she became an Instructional Leader and Principal of the High School Department (now Junior High School) of Jubilee Christian Academy where she has been serving the Lord for almost 33 years.
A widow, she resides in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines while her whole family stays in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She considers being the Country Director of the ACSI Philippines a great blessing from God.
He served in Davao as Principal and Head of School for 12 years, and have worked as an administrator since 1993 and up to the present.
Faith International Academy was a Christian school primarily for the families of Christian Ministries working in the southern Philippines. It is fully accredited with WASC, an American accrediting organization and ACSI that work with all the international schools in Southeast Asia. We have 150 students (K-12) and 30 full time staff members.
A distinctive of Faith International Academy is that we serve a broad spectrum of students within a small but very international student body. We teach multi-level, alternating courses with international students of various learning styles, learning capabilities, and educational backgrounds. This is all to say that our staff needs to be flexible and knowledgeable to stretch into the various areas so that the needs of our students can be met.
Beth has been a classroom teacher for 18 consecutive years. Her experience and exposure in teaching has endowed her with a comprehensive knowledge and skills regarding the nature of the students and the subject matter.
She took her bachelor’s degree at the National Teachers College, Quiapo, Manila and obtained her Master of Arts in Management at the University of the Immaculate Conception, Bonifacio Street, Davao City and presently taking her PhD in Educational Leadership at the University of the Immaculate Conception, Davao City.
She has conducted trainings/seminars on Standards-Based Assessment and the Use of Formative Assessment. She had also facilitated trainings/seminar-workshops on the Secondary Education Curriculum or SEC 2010 using the Framework of Understanding by Design (UbD) for private school teachers. She had also worked as one of the writers of Modules on Mindanao History entitled Righting History with Peace and Development Perspective .

–Visiting faculty for Biblical Studies at the Asian Theological Seminary and Alliance Graduate School in Manila and Bandung Theological Seminary, Indonesia.
–Master Trainor with WorldTeach Philippines. Resource consultant for Biblical Integration at the Jubilee Christian Academy, Q.C.; Imus Unida Christian School, Cavite; and Faith Christian School, Cainta, Rizal. Formerly, Senior Pastor at the Alliance Fellowship Church, Quezon City.
David K. Wilcox, Ph.D., is Assistant Vice President with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). He supports the association’s activities in Canada, Central and South America and the Asia/Pacific regions. He is also an editorial advisor for ACSI’s journal, Christian School Education. He has written extensively in ACSI publications, and seeks to make ACSI services and publications relevant and valuable for the Christian school movement worldwide.
Dr. Wilcox began his career in education teaching children with special learning needs for 5 years in Illinois.
In 1982, David and his wife, Erin, went to the Alliance Academy International in Quito, Ecuador. After two years teaching there, David served as Secondary Principal and Director. In 1989 they moved to Malaysia, where he was Headmaster of Dalat International School in Penang for 6 years. His work with ACSI began in 1995.
Dr. Wilcox has a BA in Economics from Wheaton College, a MS in Special Education from Illinois State University and a MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama. His PhD is in Education Policy Analysis from the University of Illinois—Chicago. He is married and has two adult children. David and his wife, Dr. Erin Wilcox, Assistant Vice President for Academic Services, live in Colorado Springs.
